The Dnipro Institute of IAPM joins the anti-drug awareness campaign and publishes materials from the Narconon rehabilitation centre in support of preventing addictive behaviour among students.

In the context of wartime, when stress levels among young people are rising significantly, the prevention of psychoactive substance use has become a matter of particular urgency. It is precisely during difficult periods that the risk of seeking harmful ways to cope with psychological pressure — including alcohol and drug use — increases considerably.

Narcotic and psychoactive substances are often perceived by young people through the lens of myths and distorted information spread via social media or within peer circles. In reality, any drug is a poison that gradually destroys a person's ability to think, feel, and function fully in society. Dependency develops unnoticed — which is why awareness and educational work among youth remains one of the most effective tools for its prevention.

We invite you to read the electronic brochure "10 Accurate Facts About Drugs", prepared by specialists of the Narconon rehabilitation centre — an organisation that has been helping people overcome drug and alcohol addiction since 2007, with a programme success rate of 70%. The material dispels the most common myths about drugs and alcohol in an accessible way, and explains their real impact on the human body, mind and emotional state.

We encourage students to read these materials carefully and share them in their chats. Awareness is the most reliable protection against manipulation and poor decisions.
